I lead strategy development, transformation implementation, and change management. I solve problems that require a certain set of skills: a Board-ready strategy in a month, digital transformation with someone who isn't trying to sell you IT, AI adoption your team won't roll their eyes at, and organisational development and culture work.

Mostly CEOs, occasionally COOs or Board Chairs, and sometimes strategy or transformation directors. I work with both private, including banks, telcos and professional services, and non-profit clients in education, health and the environment.

I start with what has failed and trace the mechanism producing the failure, which usually means reading your annual report before we ever speak and telling you what I found, including the parts you'd rather I hadn't noticed. Then I build the strategy through facilitated decision sequences: each workshop makes real decisions with named owners and deadlines, the CEO's hand weighs the same as everyone else's, and we're done in weeks because momentum dies in month three, not because I'm in a hurry.

I've led 25 transformations on three continents, including a global Agile transformation covering 9,000 people at DB. Co-led the £31bn VMO2 megamerger pre-integration. Led the $100m pre-integration for GoTyme's Retail Capital acquisition. Advised a £100m charity on digital transformation. There's been more, but NDAs are a thing.

Sometimes? My day rate is £750 to £1,750 excluding VAT, depending on the client industry, size, complexity, country currency and annual revenue. I mostly do fixed rates with clients these days because who cares how long their consultant works on the problem as long as it gets solved? For charities, a one-day offsite costs £600. Vision to Value is a three-tier, fixed-price strategy refresh costing £10,000 to £28,000. It takes four to six weeks of workshops, and the deposit is 20%.

I build software. I'm currently running a live AI product pilot with a UK barristers' chambers, with a completed data protection impact assessment and security architecture I wrote myself. When I advise you on AI adoption, it's from the inside.
